Game Show Host - Norwegian Cruise Lines (non -Annoyance audition)

GAME SHOW HOST CASTING in Chicago, IL

Creative Studios by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings is seeking experienced talent to

host and facilitate live game shows presented onboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest

class of ships, including the Norwegian AQUA, PRIMA and VIVA. These shows are

on-stage adaptations of The Price is Right and Press Your Luck and potentially others.

Contracts will become available in early 2025 and beyond. Talent will have Theatrical

Entertainer status onboard. Rehearsals will take place at the Creative Studios in

Tampa, Florida before embarking on a 6 month contract at sea.

Single occupancy cabin provided.

$2,000/per week performance salary.

Transportation provided: to Tampa rehearsals, to the vessel, and then home post

Seeking

HOSTS: The Hosts (think Wayne Brady, Drew Carey, Ellen types) are able to move the

show along, improvise, and engage with the contestants, live ship audience, the show’s

stage manager, and models. The responsibility of the Host is to provide an experience

that is entertaining not only to those participating in each game onstage but also those

audience members watching from the house. Hosts will be required to learn all game

play rules during rehearsals and share information with contestants as they navigate

through each game. Host may also be involved in the contestant selection/audition

process prior to performance. Knowledge of and love for these classic game shows is a

plus. The ability to elevate each contestant into a star is a must.

Those with years of improv comedy, hosting and stage experience are encouraged to

apply.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings is inclusive in its casting. Hosts can be any age (18 &

older), race, ethnicity, gender and body shape. Must be fluent in English. Valid passport

is necessary.

Skills/Qualifications:

- Highlight your hosting experience

- Indicate your improv training and stage experience

- Comedic background (tell us about your improv, sketch and stand-up experience)

There are three phases to this audition process:

1) the video submission

2) the potential google meet virtual audition

3) an in–person audition in Chicago, IL

If you are selected for phase two, you will be invited to a google meet/virtual audition in

the coming weeks.

A non-mandatory in-person workshop will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024

(TBD exact time - afternoon) in preparation for the in-person final audition on Tuesday,
