The Annoyance Theatre is holding auditions for an upcoming play that follows the untold, untrue story of two unknown rookies who find themselves on the 1996 Chicago Bulls despite no playing history. The show is a comedy, inspired by tropes from classic childhood sports movies — think Like Mike meets Full House. BULL is written and directed by Anna Weatherwax and Traer Schon.
Audition Times & Location:
April 5, 2025, 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The Annoyance Theatre, 851 W Belmont Ave.
We highly encourage POC, LGBTQIA+ and non-binary performers to submit. We are committed to socially equitable casting, and as such encourage you to audition for whatever roles you feel connected to regardless of gender identity, race/ethnicity, sexuality, age, or ability status.
We are casting for the following roles:
NIKO MASON - Middle schooler. Younger brother to an NBA player. Frail, precocious, seemingly sickly.
ENSEMBLE (3) - Three ensemble roles will round out the cast, including sports reporters, a commercial director, NBA players’ “WAGs (wives and girlfriends),” Bulls dancers and more.
The audition will consist of a short group dance combination and reading sides. Sides will be emailed to you beforehand.
