Ryan Brown is a queer playwright, actor, and vocalist. He is proud to be debuting the role of Sheila in the world premier of Grease 3. He most recently performed at the Annoyance as an understudy in Steamworks: the Musical, and in his written piece Strapped In as part of the Triple Feature series. He has performed with ensembles Dinner for Yesterday, The Cocaine Murder Jam, and Yeah Buddy Awesome Time Show at the Crowd, the Playground, Brainstorm Comics, Hungry Brain, and various punky basements across Chicago. His plays Mana and Her Underground Family and 1 to 4 were performed at Gorilla Tango and Fury Theatre, respectively. He studied creative writing and theatre at Indiana University, where he was also an ensemble member and director of Awkward Silence Comedy. He has taught improv for autism-spectrum students at College Internship Program in Bloomington, Indiana, and elementary school students at James Monroe Elementary School here in Chicago.
