Mark Grenier is an actor, improviser, and teacher in New York City. He dropped out of college more times than he can remember before moving to NY to study acting at The Atlantic Theater Company and improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade. Improv quickly took over his life and he studied extensively with teachers in both NY and Chicago, including Armando Diaz, Ali Farahnakian, T.J. Jagodowski, Susan Messing, Mick Napier, Dave Pasquesi, Dave Razowsky, and many other excellent people. Eventually, Mark started teaching at The Peoples Improv Theater and then at Magnet Theater, where he also served as school director. He has taught many other classes and workshops at organizations including The All Stars Project, Columbia University, Fairfield University, Marymount Manhattan College, The New York Film Academy, Polaris North Theater Company, and Stand Up Showcase. Currently, Mark teaches improv at The Annoyance Theatre in NY and at the acclaimed theatre company The Barrow Group, where he also teaches acting. Somewhere in there, he finished a film degree at Brooklyn College (finally!) and developed the capacity to love and share in the human condition.
