Atra Asdou

Atra Asdou is a comedian/actor/writer/director who improvises regularly at iO Chicago every Monday with LIL’ TOOTIES and every Saturday with WHIRLED NEWS TONIGHT. She is an artistic associate at Lookingglass, where she’s appeared in numerous plays, has understudied at THE SECOND CITY, and stars in the award winning web series OTHER PEOPLE’S CHILDREN. Her solo sketch show A POODLE IN PEOPLE CLOTHES debuted earlier this year was called “as silly as it is heartfelt” by Time Out Chicago and “it was the hilarious we were so high” by an audience member on Instagram. Her directing work includes TEEN CUDI PRESENTS: BLACK BOY JOY, Stir Friday Night’s EAST BY EAST EAST, and Yazmin Ramos’ GARDEN PARTY. Find more at
