True Grits

Directed by Case Blackwell

About the Show

True Grits is a solo show about women in the south. It is “Steel Magnolias” meets “Designing Women.”

Lauren Lonergan grew up all over the south. She is related to Margaret Mitchell (who wrote “Gone With The Wind”), wore bonnets and bows for most of her childhood, and comes from a long line of southern matriarchs. She will introduce you to women from all walks of life from: New Orleans, Asheville, Montgomery and everywhere in-between.

True Grits is about the complexities of southern women who exhibit grace, wit and humidity…or um humility!
