About the Show
“Sad Clown” is an improvised comedy show that invites mental illness to play. Each night, three brave essayists will take the stage and talk candidly about their experiences of mental illness – the highs, the lows, the pain, and even the moments when you just have to laugh. After each monologue, the Annoyance Theatre’s talented improvisers will take the stage and illuminate ideas from each story with laughter.
It’s a touching tribute to honor ourselves and our loved ones who’s journey includes mental illness. You’ll never see a show quite like this. Join us for this uplifting, beautiful, heartbreaking, and hilarious show. Sundays at 8pm, July 16th to August 20th at The Annoyance Theatre and Bar. Directed and hosted by comedic improviser and psychiatric nurse Matthew Manning.
