AP1 is an all-encompassing survey course that will give anyone a solid foundation in improvisational comedy – whether you want to perform, direct, write, or just know more. New to improv? This class is probably for you. The class culminates into a one night only class show on July 29th. AP1 introduces you to The Annoyance’s approach to improv by covering a wide variety of concepts:
- “the rules” and breaking the rules
- Group mind (the myth, the facts)
- How to say “no”
- Creating the game
- Character driven scene work
- Writing via improv
- Direction (taking and giving)
- Object and environment work
This class will culminate in a student showcase at The Annoyance on Sunday, October 6th at 6:30pm.
Need a payment plan? Choose Payment Plan when signing up! The second payment (1/2 the cost of the class) will be auto-debited from the card you use on September 9th. It’s that simple!
