About the Course:
Introduction to Stand-Up Comedy: In this class you will learn how to find your voice as a stand-up comic by learning the history, studying joke structure, and finding your comedic style. Each student will leave with a tight 3-5 minute showcase set.
Izzy Salhani (she/they) is an up and coming stand up comic who cut their teeth and kick started their career in the Belly Room of the World Famous Comedy Store in West Hollywood, California. Currently based in Chicago, IL Izzy is represented as an actor by Big Mouth Talent. You definitely don’t recognize them from their comedic hit “Sock Song” featured on a obscure WGN podcast in 2020 or even as an understudy for Second City’s popular She The People. Izzy’s sharp and insightful comedic wit will take you on an emotional roller coaster she’s barely tall enough to ride on.
